A Step by Step Guide

1) Schools sign up to DVS Awards via the How to Join form (button below).

2) A member of our team will then confirm a school’s enrolment to the programme.

3) Schools inform their Year 12 cohort of the programme. The Ideas page provides material to support schools with this, if required.

4) Schools inform us of their 10 chosen Award categories. The Ideas page provides some inspiration for award category names that schools may wish to select.

5) Schools decide the process through which winners are selected.

6) Schools submit details of their Award winners in May, subject only to the following criteria:

  • Only Year 12 students can be selected
  • Only one student per Award can be selected

We will require the following data for all Awards winners:

  • Winner Name
  • Email address (where the e-vouchers will be emailed. This can be the student or teacher's email address)
  • The reason why the student has won

7) Awards will then be presented during an in-school assembly at the end of the academic year (June/July). If schools prefer, we can integrate the Awards into the school’s own Year-End Awards Assembly.

     Suggested format:

  • Welcome by school faculty member
  • A short message from DVS Foundation
  • School faculty member to read out the Award winners
  • DVS Foundation to present the Awards
  • Photo opportunity

In previous years we have recommended that schools write a letter to each of their winners outlining the reasons the student has won the Award. This has proven to be a lovely keepsake.

A member of our team will support schools throughout this process and provide guidance on timelines.
